A New Adventure for US...

I've started a crafting business at home. I love it Kris has no clue because he just loves his room. Rex hates it but is wonderful to support me. Check out raemis.blogspot.com and see what its all about. It has been so fabulous mostly because my Utah girls...Michelle and Kelly have joined me. Their help and ideas are wonderful. They have made some cute holiday decorations, helped me shop for supplies and been here to help with open houses. Jamey has been great to help with the email, blog ideas and Staci has sent items to sell in the 'store' as I am now calling the basement. Michelle has also been sending all her friends and coworkers over. It is so much fun!

We are on our way to CA to visit Staci. She will keep Kris for us while we go to Ila's wedding (Rex's cousin). It will be alot of driving but nice to spend some time together. I hope to read the book Rex gave me for Christmas that I haven't had time for. He does all the driving so I get some nice queit time.

Happy Spring!! LOL

Home for the Holidays

We had a wonderful, quiet Christmas. We kept it very small this year and it was wonderful. We joined Michelle, Steve and family Christmas Eve. Kris had so much fun handing us our gifts Christmas morning. He always asks for a black dog, doesn't get one but is still excited. Then we traveled to Delta Christmas morning to watch Grandma Illa open her gifts, then stopped to see Jeff, Kelly and boys enjoying the day.
Traveling reminded me of the way it was when our children were small but in reverse. We usually drove from Delta to SLC to Grandma and Grandpa Horman's on Christmas Day.

Lots of news with family...(the Horman side)...Uncle Jed is in the hospital with a lung injury. He has been there 3 long weeks and it looks like it could be that much longer. Aunt Joan had open heart surgery and is doing so well that she may be going home soon. Uncle Jay had throat surgery, now recovering well at home. Jarica had hand surgery and is at home recovering, also.

I think most of the Stanworths are well except Grams. She is so miserable and has been for several weeks. They changed her meds again a couple of days ago and Rex thinks she is a bit better. Kris has had another ear ache, Nick had his tonsills out before Christmas and is on a 'no juice' plan to get him eating, Max is crawling and pulling up to everything, Everett has mastered the army crawl, and Barrett loves to cuddle. Sierra had her tonsills out today and says it hurts but she won't stop talking.

Thanks to everyone for everything that made our holidays so beautiful. I heard everyone everywhere had a wonderful holiday and we wish you all a prosperous, healthy and happy New Year!!

Love to all from RaeMi's World.

Merry Christmas !!!

We have been very busy lately. Rex had knee surgery and is recovering gradually. Michelle had her gallbladder out and is on the road to recovery. Today our little Nick had his tonsills and adnoids out. I hope his recovery goes well. This is a tough one especially for a little one, he's only two.

Christmas preparations are well under way so I hope to have some time to help the others.
Kris has a new friend to "hang out" with. He seems to enjoy him. They get together a few hours each week and go into the community which is great to get Kris out and about.

I love the whole Christmas season and hope you all are healthy and enjoy this special time of year. Our home is decorated and I guess I should get some gifts under the tree but its not about the presents, it all about HIS PRESENCE and that is what I love.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, with love from Rex, RaeMi and Kris!!!

November came and went in a flash.
Kris has done great at work. He has even gone to work when Dad is home. I'm so thrilled he rarely sleeps anywhere but his bed. He is still a joy, especially at this time of year.
Rex has had major problems with is left knee and will undergo surgery on Dec. 4th. He is a bit anxious but can't stand the pain anymore. He still does too much and suffers after.
We spent a weekend with Jay and Lecia Beckstrome at their beautiful new cabin in the Uintas. It was wonderful to get away and we really enjoyed every minute! Thanks for inviting us!!!
I am enjoying seven, ten year old girls for Achievement Days. They are a delight for the most part. It is fun to think of something to do each time. They are so receptive to to working on whatever I choose and the subject comes right from the Faith in God booklet so there is alot of variety to choose from.
Of course, my most fun comes from spending time with the grandchildren. Michelle and Kelly call often so I get lots of fun times. Thanks for sharing your great boys with me. I just wish I could see all my out of state kids as often!!! Love you all...

Looking for Quiet Times...

October has been very hectic. Elk hunt, swine flu and deer hunt. Now its Halloween. Rex is working in Delta six days this week. He will be home Sunday and Monday the goes off to Wyoming for the first week in November. I will be tending Michelle and Steve's two youngest while they are in DC. It's our off year for Thanksgiving so maybe it will slow down when everyone gets home.

I have enjoyed being in UT county even more as our new grandchildren have arrived. It is so fun to be close and tend often. I love being handy for that reason. Kris seems to be doing better with his nephews here. Everyone seems to know when he's had enough he heads off to his room and we leave him alone.

We (Kris and I) went to a ward Halloween party last night and Kris was hesitant at first but once he got going he had a good time. He loves to dress up but he didn't wear his new knight costume. He was in his white karate uniform. I, of course was a witch but have a new costume Rex bought me. I can't wait until Halloween night to sit on the porch and welcome all the little ghosts and goblins. I enjoy it and love startling all the teens that come along later.

We had a fabulous Easter will all our family here except Jamey and Erica who are about to have our thirteenth grandchild, maybe today!! We celebrated Leah's b-day and the April birthdays while the Ashtons were here for spring break. And we had a big shindig courtesy of Kris for his 23 b-day. He made invites and took them to all the neighbors. There were 18-20 who came for cake and ice cream. Check out the photos.
