Merry Christmas !!!

We have been very busy lately. Rex had knee surgery and is recovering gradually. Michelle had her gallbladder out and is on the road to recovery. Today our little Nick had his tonsills and adnoids out. I hope his recovery goes well. This is a tough one especially for a little one, he's only two.

Christmas preparations are well under way so I hope to have some time to help the others.
Kris has a new friend to "hang out" with. He seems to enjoy him. They get together a few hours each week and go into the community which is great to get Kris out and about.

I love the whole Christmas season and hope you all are healthy and enjoy this special time of year. Our home is decorated and I guess I should get some gifts under the tree but its not about the presents, it all about HIS PRESENCE and that is what I love.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, with love from Rex, RaeMi and Kris!!!

November came and went in a flash.
Kris has done great at work. He has even gone to work when Dad is home. I'm so thrilled he rarely sleeps anywhere but his bed. He is still a joy, especially at this time of year.
Rex has had major problems with is left knee and will undergo surgery on Dec. 4th. He is a bit anxious but can't stand the pain anymore. He still does too much and suffers after.
We spent a weekend with Jay and Lecia Beckstrome at their beautiful new cabin in the Uintas. It was wonderful to get away and we really enjoyed every minute! Thanks for inviting us!!!
I am enjoying seven, ten year old girls for Achievement Days. They are a delight for the most part. It is fun to think of something to do each time. They are so receptive to to working on whatever I choose and the subject comes right from the Faith in God booklet so there is alot of variety to choose from.
Of course, my most fun comes from spending time with the grandchildren. Michelle and Kelly call often so I get lots of fun times. Thanks for sharing your great boys with me. I just wish I could see all my out of state kids as often!!! Love you all...

Looking for Quiet Times...

October has been very hectic. Elk hunt, swine flu and deer hunt. Now its Halloween. Rex is working in Delta six days this week. He will be home Sunday and Monday the goes off to Wyoming for the first week in November. I will be tending Michelle and Steve's two youngest while they are in DC. It's our off year for Thanksgiving so maybe it will slow down when everyone gets home.

I have enjoyed being in UT county even more as our new grandchildren have arrived. It is so fun to be close and tend often. I love being handy for that reason. Kris seems to be doing better with his nephews here. Everyone seems to know when he's had enough he heads off to his room and we leave him alone.

We (Kris and I) went to a ward Halloween party last night and Kris was hesitant at first but once he got going he had a good time. He loves to dress up but he didn't wear his new knight costume. He was in his white karate uniform. I, of course was a witch but have a new costume Rex bought me. I can't wait until Halloween night to sit on the porch and welcome all the little ghosts and goblins. I enjoy it and love startling all the teens that come along later.

We had a fabulous Easter will all our family here except Jamey and Erica who are about to have our thirteenth grandchild, maybe today!! We celebrated Leah's b-day and the April birthdays while the Ashtons were here for spring break. And we had a big shindig courtesy of Kris for his 23 b-day. He made invites and took them to all the neighbors. There were 18-20 who came for cake and ice cream. Check out the photos.

Our visit to Delta

We spent a couple of days in Delta with Rex last week. Kris had a good time visiting, tending Grams and bowling. Unfortunately we came home sick. He and I have not been out this week because of fever, cough, etc. I took him to instacare the other night (see the photo) when he was so miserable. The next day the doctor even called to see how he was. How many times does the doctor call? He was really sick. We are doing better today -- no fevers but still coughing and my voice is coming back!

I just happened to try a video as Kris got a great strike. Check it out...

In between snow storms we finally got our Christmas decor in from the front yard so I'm moving to Valentines and on to St Patricks Day. We had our Utah children here for prime rib dinner on Valentines Day. We enjoyed a good dinner and loved the visit.

I'm having fun paper crafting. With all the fun tools I have and all the fun paper there is no limit to what can be made. Since I'm home with Kris I just sit down and play. Rex thinks all I do is play so I guess I better just do it!!

We are going to let Kris work four days a week, just like Dad. I hope it works better. He just doesn't love working. Just like any of us! It's just a fight to get him out the door but he is pleased with what he has done when he gets home.

It's official: we are having two more grandsons. Jamey and Erica's will come in April and Michelle and Steve's will arrive in May. This is what grandaprenting is all about. I can't wait.

While Staci was here we all went to visit the SLC Temple visitors center, eat and view the new Joseph Smith movie. It was wonderful!

We had a yummy Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. Everyone brought a variety of old favorites and new delights so we had a delightful and filling day.

Notice the wheel chair ... this is the best way to keep Kris moving and enjoy the day with our poky friend. He's too big to move otherwise.
